Course Curriculum



Non invasive ventilation is now commonly used outside of intensive care as well as within its walls. This module will take you through the physiology, mechanics of BiPaP and nursing care of the patient. I also cover the British Thoracic Guidelines on the management of BiPaP as well as the recent NCEPOD report of the state of the NIV service in the NHS- spoiler alert- not good!

Jonathan is an Advanced Critical Care Practitioner in the United Kingdom. He spent 20 years working in the Intensive Care unit and now works along side the doctors doing many of the tasks done only by them in the past. He has a Masters Degree in Anaesthetic Practice and also has the Critical Care Practitioner Podcast in iTunes.

He also teaches at the University of Warwick on Masters level courses and is an active member of the Intensive Care Society social media team having helped them live stream from their yearly State of the Art conference.
